He likes to paint townscapes often populated by comic or tender characters.
In his compositions one can find the cities he has lived in – London, Prague, and Lyon. He plays around with reality – reinventing time and place, combining memories with dreams.
His paintings are generous, full of lucky finds, of pure colours mirroring life devoid of stress or perhaps hiding it away for a while, inviting to reflection.
His modesty prevents him from drawing attention to his own personality – he contents himself with a spectator’s smile.
